Allan Clark, of Armour Class (Glasgow, Scotland), was kind enough to send me these two pics of a Viking axe they made for one of their customers !

Fine looking piece,
I wonder if the artwork is etched or blued,
it looks very well done,
Nicest example i've seen in a good while,

I was in Glasgow for a couple of days but my schedule, or free time as it were, did not allow me to seek them out !

Hi Mac,
Be worth the effort,
2-3 years ago i was lucky enough to bump into Allan at a ren faire,
Allan and co seemed a right good bunch of chaps,
More so when he pulled out one of the company's higher end basket hilts,
Hidden from the mauling finger's,
Suffice to say, instant fan,
But to my shame i'm still yet to purchase from them,
But, i could say that about the majority of makers out there,
Not a problem as i've only got two hands though, :D

This indeed is a beautiful piece!
I have a question though. Are these designs and the material execution historically accurate? I have little knowledge of period pieces. Thanks for the information. Jeremy
