By Odin's beard that is the nicest axe I have seen!
How can there be a perfect sword when PEOPLE come in all shapes and sizes too?

That's just what I've been looking for, or course I bet Mac already knew that ;)

Did Allan happen to say how much that axe cost?

Fine looking piece,
I wonder if the artwork is etched or blued,
it looks very well done,
Nicest example i've seen in a good while,
Thanks for sharing the pics Mac,
Out of interest did your holiday take you close enough to run in for a chat with these guys.

Hi Lee

I was in Glasgow for a couple of days but my schedule, or free time as it were, did not allow me to seek them out !

Next visit I'll pop in on Allan , Mac

Hi Mac,
Be worth the effort,
2-3 years ago i was lucky enough to bump into Allan at a ren faire,
Allan and co seemed a right good bunch of chaps,
More so when he pulled out one of the company's higher end basket hilts,
Hidden from the mauling finger's,
Suffice to say, instant fan,
But to my shame i'm still yet to purchase from them,
But, i could say that about the majority of makers out there,
Not a problem as i've only got two hands though, :D

Thanks for sharing your pics from the trip, by the way,
Some good stuff, :)

Upon rereading Allan's message he'd mentioned that the knotwork design was "etched" !

This indeed is a beautiful piece!
I have a question though. Are these designs and the material execution historically accurate? I have little knowledge of period pieces. Thanks for the information. Jeremy

Intersting design for sure.
