I think this is the place for this. If not, go ahead and move it Nathan (great name BTW  )
My question is this; I am working on starting on my collection having always loved swords. I also think scabbards are pretty nifty too. However, as scabbards can be pretty expensive unless they are the generic kind (a la Albion's campaign line or CF's Field line) I am thinking of trying making one myself. Question is where does one find period scabbard pics/details (especially non-generic medieval) as a reference for said scabbard making effort?
