I popped by the website for Phoenix Metal Creations just a minute or two ago and saw something interesting. There was a notice saying that Erik was going to get back into sword smithing. Is this something relatively new? Or is this an old notice? The last I had heard was he was giving up smithing to go back to school. The notice does refer to school, so I'm hoping it's new and that we'll see some more stuff from erik in the future.

I believe that the notice on Eric's site is the same one that has been there for some time. I am sorrry, but I don't believe that he is back in business taking orders.

Hugh, that's what had me confused. Way back, when he first said he was going back to school he said that he just wouldn't be doing any smithing anymore. Now, on his website it says that while he won't take any custom orders he will put out the odd piece for sale now and then.

I think what it means is that every once in awhile he will make something that pleases him and then put it up for sale --- but he won't be taking orders.
