Hey all,
Sitting around the house last eve, about ready for bed, when the phone rings. Why it's good ol' Patrick Kelly. "What's up, man?" I ask. He tells me to get my tail over to his place. I say we aren't dressed, he rebuts with "get dressed and come over anyway." Soooo.....a couple of minutes later, there we are - banging on the Kelly's front door. This gleefully grinning maniac opens said portal and practically drags us in. I see a long box from Albion on his kitchen table and I'm thinking "cool, he got a certain sword I knew he had ordered for himself". We go over to the table; Linda and I stand there waiting for him to open the box so we can see, and he bursts out, jumping up and down like a kid on 5 lbs of pure sugar, with "Arent' ya' going to open it? After all it's yours." I'm flabergasted, but think what the heck. So I open it. OH MY GAWD...........
I can't believe it! The turkey has worked out a deal with Howard @ Albion on another project and I wind up with this beautiful, totally AWESOME sword out of it. How cool is that!!!!! At first I was so taken aback that all I could do was stare....'til he's yelling "TAKE IT OUT!!" Out it came, and I must say that this piece of art is much more than you could ever imagine with mere pictures. This thing really IS a brute! Nothing austere or plain about this baby. As everyone who's seen it first hand says - there is no doubt what this blade was made for! There is no way of describing how it feels in the swing. Howard said it all once when he said "Blade presense is an understatement on this sword". WOW! It literally sings in full swing and I can't wait to try a few practice cuts. I must say, that it is just too cool to have such good friends in this hobby, and I've NEVER received anything like this before. In my long-winded way (hehe), I wanted to thank Peter for designing, Howard and Albion for creating, and especially my friend Patrick K. for thinking me worthy of such a gift. Be jealous all, be very jealous. :}

Salute~
Greg

I'm impressed on so many levels, the sword itself but mostly about Patrick's generosity: You realize though that he is now your liege LORD or should be. :cool: :cool: :cool:

Say hello to him for me. :D

The runner-up is buying him a sword like that. Congratulations.
Say "Hi" to Patrick for me too and tell him we miss him here in the forums.

It's one thing to be waiting expectantly like a kid on Christmas morning, but to have Christmas sprung upon you by surprise is certainly something special. It IS a special sword and what an awesome gift! WOW! Patrick & Howie--you da man! :cool:

I think the whole "Wow, congratulations, that's great, man am I jealous" thing is getting old ( ;) ) so I'm going to try something new:

Greg, are you trying to get everyone on the forum to resent you? :\ :confused: 'Cause it's working :p :lol:
