I just thought some might be interrested to see this Czech variation of the Dussack. This repro ' Thussack ' is made by " Templ Weapons " and they seem to have produced several museum replicas like the Austrian Riding Sword. http://www.templ.net/weapons/middleage_and_modern_age.php#B18
Has anyone made a purchase from this company ? Does anyone have any written or pictorial reference for this sword?

Thanks Chad......Good stuff there at those posts. I still have never seen reference to this type of dussack before, but I guess there are always lots of variations with all sword & dagger types. There would be lots of references in Czechoslovakia ! Its a bit like looking for "Landsknecht" stuff......if you search on Google you get so many, but if have you tried it on "Yahoo-Germany " you usually get a lot more ! Unfortunately I dont speak Czech.

I did some quick checking using Czech search engines and didn't turn up anything but Templ and this thread actually. 
I'd be interested to learn more about these as well.

I may be completely off base here, but I would recommend searching (on Google, as well as here, or SFI) for Baumwehr. It looks to my (very) untrained eye to have characteristics of that type.

You mean Bauernwehr?
This weapon looks more like an oversized kitchen knife rather than what you'd actually call a Messer. Sometimes the term Bauernwehr is used as another word for Rugger, wich is more like a stabbing version of the messer.
The Thussak on the templ-page looks more like a broad Bauernwehr than a Dussack. The problem is that all these terms were often used for the same kind of weapon at the same time.
For some it's a sinclair-saber, for others a Dussack.
