Hi guys,

can someone help me? I'm looking for a complete view of this effigy. It says Ludwig Paulsdorfer 1484, Regensburg Minoritenkirche, however, I believe it is somewhere else. As this picture, which was taken by the same person, and probably shows the head of the effigy is labelled as munich bnm.

Thx

Greedings

My interpretation is that the effigy is currently at the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum but that it originaly was placed on the grave of Ludwig Paulsdorfer in the Paulsdorfer Kapelle which is part of the Minoritenkirche in Regensburg. This page describes that only one effigy/tombstone remain in place in the Kapelle today http://www.notthafft.de/archiv/regensburg.htm

My guess is that effigy was removed after the monestary and chuch was secularised 1799 and at some point in time ended up in the collection of the BNM in München.

Nice Type U on the sword. I'm a big fan of the lesser represented types.
