after the 1st official post I resolved to introduce myself properly 
I'm from northern Italy and I'm (or should be) another 13th century guy
the first pic was taken from 2011 reenactment of Battle of Legnano (1176) and I'm in the middle with the blue surcoat, beside emperor Frederick Barbarossa in yellow

It looks like you have a pretty good kit going. I noticed you are using a different shield in the first picture from the last.

yes the heraldic one is my own while the black one is not, i borrowed that for the occasion
