Many European medieval and renaissance martial arts are used not in battle, but in duel, so to better understand the full perspective of European martial arts of that time, it's quite essential to know how these duels were practised. In the case of tournament and joust, there're already some excellent books, however, as far as I know, few related to periodic duels, their history, rules, evolution and arms&armour. Any book paper or essay recommanded?Thanx!
