The weight seems to be about average of historical swords of its type, although would you say the distal taper and handling are in the historical range?
I'm asking because I want a sword with good distal taper and handling for a low price, and this sword seems to be fairly good, although I don't really like the nut on the pommel and the supposedly beveled adeg, anyone have this sword?

I have seen the first 2 versions of it. The first was over weight and had no distal tapering. this was fixed rather swiftly to the second version is actually quite a nice sword...and the only hanwei euro I have EVER seen that had a decent edge to it...but that may not be true of he latest run of these swords. It handles like a type XII should. So unless you need an absolutely peened sword, then this is a good option.

The scabbard...if you get the wood one, it´s core is nigh useless. The fiberglass one has a complete lack of historical feel, but is much more serviceable. Either one does fit the blade nicely for the most part.
Speaking of fittings...one thing of note is the handle wood core is pretty dismal as well. It is however good enough for starting out.
