Hi everyone,
I have been thinking recently about doing some work on one of my swords, new grip and wrapping etc. etc. etc.
My lack of experience has made me a little wary about doing such a thing though, as I would be going at trial and error method.
MY suggestion is this, what if there was a section under the Features section where individuals who know how could most ideas and directions on how to do these things. Topics that come to mind tat I know some of you all have done are, antiquing, redoing grips in different materials, things like that , it would, in mho a way to get out the information so that anyone who wanted to would be able to do so. Just an idea that I thought I would put out there.
Thanks!

I second that. I also think that would be a great idea.

Yes, it would be an excellent addition to our features.
Now all we need is for one of our members to step up to the plate and write one!

Woa boy! That's the last time I write a post at two in the morning. Sorry about all the errors everyone.
I'm glad this idea has gone over so well, I am willing to rite something, but I want to try an practice before I do it on an actual sword. I think I will first try to rewrap a sword hilt. Right off hand using a leather thong sounds like a good idea.
To be perfectly honest, I was really hopping that you, Patrick would write something about wrapping a sword with wire, and that Sean Flynt would write a thing or two for us. I have been impressed with the thing both of you have done.
It would also be nice, though probably asking a lot for some of the industry professionals to give us a few tips. Just an idea though.
Right now I am in the process of building a sword stand, so after that I will be able to try and rewrap a sword. I'll send in the info for posting as soon as it's one, though it could take awhile, I'm really bad at getting around to these things.

Thanks Joel,
Sean's agreed to put something together for us. I'd also like to see Kirk Spencer write something up since he does an outstanding job as well.
