Here is an inexpencive ( IMHO) a good book on Scottish firearms Scottish Firearms By Claude Blair & Robert Woosnam-Savage ISBN 0-919316-31-X (about $9.00 )

Jack,
This is indeed a nice little book. It even made it into two of our Paper Armoury installments (on the Features Page).  I'd encourage you to add it to your reading list and write a review up for people. That way, there are more reviews than just my own.
