Like most of the rest of you I was reading about that horrible bridge collapse up in Minneapolis last night, when the though occurred to me... hey I do know some folks in Minneapolis. So I got on the phone and called the guys and Arms and Armor. All I got was the voicemail, so I made some crack about how I hoped that they weren't on a certain bridge last night and to give me a call back when they had a chance.
Well, by lunchtime today I hadn't heard back so I got a little worried as Craig is usually really good about calling back. So I called again. As it turns out Craig very nearly was on that bridge. He wasn't by literally feet. (Got a guess about what a jerk I feel like for making that smart aleck remark about the bridge???)
I'm very glad he wasn't, and that no one else that I know was either. I feel really terrible for those that have lost those they care about and although my prayers probably aren't worth much offer the ones I have for them. May they somehow find comfort in this time of loss.
Glad you are okay Craig and hope you don't mind me passing that little tidbit along. I was hoping to make people think a little. It's all too easy to get wrapped up in our little worlds and forget the big picture. Folks, go home tonight and give your family an extra hug. You never know when someone (or you) isn't going to be there anymore.

Whoa!
Cyber-hug from me, Craig, for not losing your life. Glad you're still alive and well!

The ol' moderator hat requires me to look at each and every thread, so I guess I just take it for granted. :)

You know, the community has lost an icon or three in the past.......
But I'd say we were real lucky this time. Craig's sense of humor, his accessibility, his integrity, his knowledge and willingness to share it....... would have been totally irreplaceable.......
Yep, lucky........
The home stuff is more important, but we'd have all missed more than we realize too..........
