Hey Guys! i like the look of the cold steel 1830 Nap. Saber! im gonna get it, i found it for around 200$. anyone own one?
and likes dislikes. recomendations or another 200-300$ saber maker?

I have handled one... It (the Napoleon) had a comparatively nice balance.
I also own the 1860 cavalry saber by them, which I like.
Honestly, I've found it difficult to find "traditional" styled sabers that are better, since most of what seems to be out there are mantle decorations.
edit: after posting this, I got to thinking about this. And I have a sheepish admission to make: my favorite overall piece is a cutlass made by Cold Steel. While not much more than a sharpened crowbar, it is every inch an "armory issue" weapon, and is very similar to bayonets I've signed for from the Army. It makes no claims to grace or beauty, just plain business.
By comparison, the 2 sabers mentioned above are quite supple in the hand, although a bit "flexy".
And if anyone can recommend a better "real" saber maker, I'd really be willing to entertain hearing that.
Have 11 swords, 2 dirks, half a dozen tomahawks and 2 Jeeps - seem to be a magnet for more of all.
