So I'm looking at getting a helmet made and I'm look for some more information on the skull cap type helmets with the rondel "ears"

I've seen a lot of archers using them however I've seen these skullcaps with like a lamed tail and no rondels or skull caps with rondels

i was sure id seen some with both the tails and the ears but after a lot of searching i think i may have imagined it

where the two ever used together ?

I've attached a image with various helmets with both examples on
