I've gotten many emails asking what my basic scabbard looks like. Well, look no further. Here is a basic scabbard which I did for an Albion Yeoman. It's finished in natural grain leather (not the smoother tooling leather this time around), dyed dark brown, to match the grip of the sword. The simple risers allow for a frog attachment, but also give a little bit of accent down the length. The scabbard is tipped with one of my leather underchapes.
The scabbard is a nice, tight fit - it can be held upside down and shaken, yet retains the sword. No rattle or play whatsoever.
This is exactly what one of my basic $200.00 scabbards looks like for any who were curious. Naturally, there would be differences dependant on guard/fuller layout of the paired sword, but you get the gest of it.
