One can always hope, right?
Seriously, I appreciate the well-wishes from everyone. I've been able to enjoy a quiet day with my family. I've been able to play with the kids a good amount, too. It's been great. Tonight, I get to play a concert of great music (Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich--what's not to love?). All in all a good day.
And, no, no sharp-n-pointy birthday presents for me this year (again). There might be a good book or two from Amazon gift cards I received, but there's no money for swords/daggers as a birthday present. Unless people want to start sending me swords out of the kindness of their hearts....

Happy birthday Chad, and it seems from your post that overall it's seems like it's been a good day even if sharp and pointy objects have not appeared by magic.
Oh, and thanks for all the time and work you put in doing some of the " cat herding " as a moderator and giving Nathan a chance to sleep occasionally.
