Special features are now available to makers, manufacturers, and special interest groups in the arms and armour community. We're offering hosting services for your own discussion forums, mailing lists, photo galleries, and Web sites. We've built and installed a suite of customized features and tools that will help you manage these services. We'll provide the server, bandwidth, and technical maintenance for the technology behind the tools. With these services, you can host one or more of your own private or public forums on myArmoury.com. You'll have the ability to fully manage and moderate your areas, controlling exactly who can participate. Additionally, we are able to provide a robust tool for communicating to your customer or member base via email. This mail list management tool can be put to use as merely a method to make announcements to your forum member list or can serve as your entire organization's mail-announcement system. Detailed Description of Features: On-target Audience Take advantage of the fact that myArmoury.com is aimed at the collector of arms and armour. You have access to existing myArmoury.com registered members, allowing them to participate in your special discussion area. Your forum and mail list will benefit from the targeted exposure of our demographic and the promotions and advertisement in which we participate. Fully Functional Special Forum Your special forum comes pre-configured for you to use as you please. We will host and maintain the technical aspects for you. Your forum is equipped with all the features of every other forum on myArmoury.com including: integrated spell checker, hosted image attachment support, sticky/announcement topics, voting polls, etc. All other site features are available to your users such as private messaging, photo albums, collection galleries, etc. You define who can see and moderate your forum, how it is accessed, and what its focus and contents will be. (Certain restrictions will be placed on the type of contents we want for publicly visible areas.) Additional forums are available, each with their own preferences. Forum Management Tools You are given the ability to define which myArmoury.com registered members have access to your forum by adding them to your special group. You can also assign moderators that are able to fully maintain the forum, including the ability to delete/move/edit posts and topics, lock topics, create stickies/announcements, etc. Define How Your Forum is Presented Your forum is pre-configured as an invite-only private area. You can edit the way access is granted to your forum by changing your special group to operate in one of four different modes. Open Group: Your group is publicly visible. Users are able to request membership. Your group moderator manually grants or denies each request. Closed Group: Your group is publicly visible without the option of openly joining. Your group moderator must add all new group members manually. Hidden Group: Your group is not publicly visible and your group moderator must add all new members. Auto-join Group: Your group is publicly visible. Members wishing to join your group are immediately granted access. Robust Mailing List Management System Create and manage your own mass mail list with a fully-functional easy-to-use Web-based tool that allows you to send email announcements to all of your subscribed members in both plain text and HTML formats with support for file attachments. Transfer your existing mailing or customer lists to the tool for easy integration. Your users are given the ability to subscribe/unsubscribe at any time as they wish. Each mailing is optionally saved to a public archive for further reference. Multiple lists are available and can be managed separately. Photo Album Hosting Host your organization's photographs in the myArmoury.com photo albums*. You will be given the ability to make your own category that can contain multiple public albums that you can name and categorize as you please. Enter your own search phrases, keywords, and descriptions for easy access to your images. You get 50MB of storage space with more available as your needs grow. Your albums are fully functional and include every feature of our system, including: automatic thumbnail and intermediate graphic creation, e-card support, slide shows, picture ratings, and public comments for each image. If you're using Windows XP, you also get access to the XP Publishing Wizard, which allows for quick and easy uploading of multiple images at once with resizing on the fly. Web site Hosting Have your Web presence hosted at myArmoury.com as a sub-domain right off of our main domain. (Example: acme.myArmoury.com). Your base configuration includes 100MB of service space, 500MB/month of data transfer, and 20 myArmoury.com POP3 email addresses with Web-mail support. FTP account, PHP support, optional CGI support, pre-built CGI scripts, Flash and Shockwave support are all standard. Manage your site with a Web-based Control Panel and File Manager. Receive detailed Web statistics. Additional services and resources are available including domain name registration and hosting.
