Hello again.

Anyone know where to find guards, pommels, tacks or scabbard mountings for the standard modern styles of dirks and sgian dubhs? I got these blades from Atlanta Cutlery when they went on closeout, and after much consideration, that's the route I'd like to go with them.



Right now the only idea I have is to make little oval guards with soldered flanges, fabricate the scabbard parts from sheet, maybe add short nickel-plated escutcheon pins, and an unshaped cylindrical pommel for the dirk. But if possible I'd prefer something fancier. Pommels with real quartz cairngorms would be fantastic.
