Up for sale is this custom Scottish dirk made by Richard Mize of Fox Creek Forge. Blade is 13 1/4" and is what Richard refers to as a "double swedge" design. Ferrule and pommel cap are mild steel. Hardwood grip is very nicely carved with traditional interlace designs and measures 4 1/4" long. All held together by a brass pommel nut with decorative filing. Comes complete with a hard leather back-stitched sheath. Sheath has some simple line decoration and an iron tip. Belt loop will accept up to a 2 1/4" belt. All metal surfaces have a slight antique finish, giving the appearance of a well used, but well cared for dirk.
