This is a large German book tracing the development of European war headgear from the bronze age through the 20th century, showcasing items from collections of the Museum of German History. The book is quite large, weighing nearly 4 pounds; it's over 300 pages, and is 12" tall x 9.5" wide x ~1.25" thick. The text is in German, but around 140 pages of the book show nothing but high-quality color and B&W photos. The rest of the text is well illustrated with period illustrations and line drawings. Shown below is just a little bit of what it's the book. It covers headgear (helms and some hats) of every century since the Bronze Age, including the last one.

As the pics show, the dust jacket has some wear and tear, including a piece missing. The book itself is in really nice shape. Recent Ebay auctions have seen this book go for $85 to over a $100, plus $20 shipping from Germany.

Asking $75 + shipping. PayPal preferred (please add 3%), money order accepted. Please email or PM with questions.

I'll also consider trades for books not on my reading list or for other interesting things.
