Yet another deaccession: Edwardian-era (pre-WWI) Austrian-made reproduction of a 16th-century flamberge-bladed two-handed sword. Used in numerous productions at New York's Metropolitan Opera under the direction of Oscar Kolombatovich and obtained from his personal collection.

Overall length 60.5", blade 46", quillon width 12.25", handle length 13.5" with pommel. Handle is brown leather wrap over wire. Blade has lost its temper and should not be used for cutting or fencing. Viennese wordmaker's mark on blade with stamped name "WIEN". Original sale tage from AFS is still attached.
