For sale is this type XI sword hilted in a lobated Russian style. The inspiration for this sword was taken from Kirpichnikov's famous work on early Russian weapons. The Russians continued to use older hilt forms with newer blade styles and this is one such example. Made with A&A's usual quality, which is very high! Stats are:
OAL: 37.5 inches
BL: 31 inches
POB: 5 inches from cross
The sword is sharp. The pommel is two parts but the tang has also been peened to the upper pommel as was the historical method with these swords. It features a red baldric with punched and engraved steel fittings.
