Up for sale is a very rare long discontinued Museum Replicas German Renaissance Knightly Sword. Mid 1500s

I think this one was in a couple issues of the catalog in the late 90s and then just gone.

Fit and finish are just beautiful right down to the detailed pommel, Included here is a pic and info about the original this one was copied off of: https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/14045/lot/3021/

Overall length is 37 1/2" blade is 39 5/8"

Distal tapered blade is 1 5/8" at its widest POB is 6 1/2" from the guard.

Weight is just under 3 1/2 pounds

Overall condition is very good to excellent. Most of the original proofing is still on the blade and guard. If you aren't familiar, for quite some time Museum Replicas puts on a thick rust preventative that can be buffed off or removed with chemicals.

There are a couple bands on the blade that shows up on the pics that someone removed sections of the proofing.

Handling characteristics are excellent. I can use this one handed easily even though this is an extremely long broadsword. Grip is hand and a half length. Original sheath included.

$250 with $15 shipping CONUS.
