Hey folks,
I'm interested in selling my Albion Squire Line "13th century knightly" sword. It came sharpened from Albion and has only seen light use cutting milk jugs and doing dry techniques. The blade is in great shape and the fittings are also very nice, but the hilt and pommel both have a tiny, teensy bit of pitting in it (not much more than it came with, I dare say).
I wrapped the grip myself, and also made the leather scabbard, which has a 10oz core and 4oz cover as well as a 4oz belt finished with neatsfoot oil. The scabbard is a very deep, dark red that transitions almost completely to black at times; it looks very neat out in the light. It was from two separate applications of dye when I made it darker from its original red, and it turned out very nicely, if not completely solid! The chape was made by Ron McWiliams of Texas. I can wear the belt at about it's tightest around my 32" waist, and it works nicely when I'm wearing a shirt, gambeson and mail hauberk as well - so it's got some variation to its usefulness.
The sword from Albion, sharpened as it is, costs $498. Considering the extensive work done to create the scabbard and wrap the grip I'd like to get $575 + shipping (probably in the $30-40 range). Cheers!
