i would be willing to trade my antique ethiopian gurade/ punjabi tulwar and possibly my moro kris for an albion sherriff (scabbard optional)

the gurade dates from 1890 and was used by the royal guard. it is of european manufacture with a solingen blade the "GG" quality mark at base of blade near the hilt........there are amharic inscriptions/floral patters all along both sides of the blade and the "lion of judah" on the quillons. the scabbard is in somewhat rough shape and is missing the chape and the last inch of the blade protrudes from it
the blade is dull and bears evidence of heavy sharpening and use through its lifetime. there are a few dents in the blade as well, however it is exceedingly light and well balanced and a joy to handle. blade is about "31 inches

the tulwar has a 24 inch kilij type blade with a prominent yelman. a reliable source told me that the sword is probably of sikh manufacture from the punjab and probably dates from 1750, however i have not been able to substantiate this yet. the eyelash marks are clearly visible on the blade and there is a makers mark/stamp towards the hilt, but it is so obscured by rust that i cant make it out. the blade has some moderate to heavy pitting towards the end. the scabbard is intact and is missing leather covering in places. the blade is relatively light and is for the most part dull. the hilt is dish pommelled with a spike underneath and a knuckleguard.

the moro kris is from maranao and dates from the WWII period or later. it has a semiwavy blade that measures 22 inches and is still razor sharp. the hilt is wrapped in silver with the "cocatua" pommel. sword and scabbard are in great condition.
