For Sale: Zhou Zheng Wu Han Dynasty san mai jian
This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active

This sword is from the smith who created the stunning Chinese blade in the Masters of Fire show, Zhou Zheng Wu. He is reputed to be the top traditional smith working in China today.

You can see the MOF blade here: http://www.arscives.com/mastersofire/exhibits.htm

This sword I have for sale is a standard-shaped jian, i.e. it’s not octagonal or hexagonal in cross-section, and is in a “Han Dynasty” mount identical to the MOF sword. Silk cord wrap, tang wood scabbard, lost wax cast fittngs, either bronze or brass, not sure. Blade itself is san mai construction with 4,000 layers folded.

Stats:

Brown/ burgundy silk cord wrap
Tang wood scabbard
Lost wax cast fittings
San mai blade – 4000 layers

Total length: 41 ¼”
Blade length: 30 3/8”
Handle length: 9”
Blade width at guard: 1 ¼”

Blade and mount in pristine condition, waiting for your display stand.

(Pic below is from the Zhou Zheng Wu site, but the one I am offering for sale is identical. I can email pics of it to serious potential buyers. I probably will not be able to adequately capture the san mai/ folding pattern as it is really, really subtle. You will be able to see it in person though.)

Price is $1150, and includes shipping and insurance.

Please, CONUS-located buyers only, unless international buyer takes full responsibility for damages incurred during shipping. Paypal (same price, no extra 3%) or USPS money order. Sorry, no trades.

First firm offer takes it, but by all means please PM me with questions if you have them.

Thanks for looking!
