The blade is spring steel, single edged, sharp, and pretty stout. The guard/bolster and pommel are mild steel, and the tang is peened. The handle is boxwood that has been oiled and waxed. The sheath is tooled leather over wood with a metal chappe. It's a beautiful, hand made, one of a kind ballock. I'm offering it for sale as I'm getting ready to start building a new 1911. After my gun is built I'll be keeping it. $310.
Thanks,
