Hello everyone, I am new to this community so my question may seem stupid:
Speaking with a langobardic reenactor, he told me that historically accurate chainmails were made only by rivedeted rings and closed rings, and that chainmails made by assembling only hand closed rings (without rivet) were never actually used in history.
Does anyone has infos about this that can confirm or not what the guy said to me?
And, particularly, did vikings also used riveted mail only or did their chainmails were made in a different way?
Thank you in advance!

PS. English is not my first language, so I aplogize for potential mistakes... Wink
