This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
Hello All,
I just got a brand new Next Generation Squire Sword from KoA with dark brown grip. It's a beautiful cut & thrust sword; relatively light, super weight distribution (and therefore very quick), perfect for ~1300c arming sword fencing technique. It looks the same as the one currently shown on the KoA site (maybe it is the same sword). I will post a pic soon when I have time.
Unfortunately, I like a sword with a bit more blade presence.
So I'm wondering if anyone out there would be interested in trading another Albion for this.
I generally like the cutters, but a heavier XVII might be interesting. It need not be new, but must be like-new condition. Preferably similar price range, but price equalization is negotiable.
Let me know by PM if you're interested.
Thanks, JD

PS - I prefer swords in the 900-1300 AD era, but could go a bit up or down.

Here's a picture. It's kind of like an XV with a fuller.
I must say I'm going back and forth on this; its a perfect sword, it just feels light to me. It's 2 lbs, 7 Oz. I weighed some other single handers from this era and found that 2 lb 11 Oz (a Sovereign) felt perfect. Another one that weighed 3 Oz more felt a bit heavy. But of courses it depends on the type of sword - I would expect a larger XIII to weigh more.
So I will only trade for something that's just right. I guess I'm pretty lucky to have such trivial problems!

Thanks for the interest so far. I'm considering a couple of offers, although they are not quite what I was looking for.
To provide some better guidance, here are some bigger Albions in the same general price range that I have NOT owned:
- Hospitaller
- Duke
- Steward
- Landgraf (Not my usual thing, but I've never tried an XVII)
I also like their Viking swords, but already have/had Jarl, Huskarl, Knud.
An A&A viking or high medieval sword might be an option as well.

Here's what the hilt looks like.
I'm going to give this trade idea a couple more days then likely put it for sale.
