three reproduction 1796 Light Cavalry sabers
This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active

Folks,

I have three reproduction model 1796 British Light Cavalry sabers for sale. Two are from Cold Steel, one with the steel scabbard and one with the wood-and-leather scabbard; and the third, which has a steel scabbard, is from Universal Swords. The Cold Steel sabers are the standard factory-sharpened versions, except that I've peened the tangs in order to make them slightly less historically inaccurate. The peen on the leather-and-wood scabbarded one is neatly done; the other isn't my best work. Think of it as a field repair. The Universal saber has been sharpened, I think by Kult of Athena. Its scabbard has a minor dent about nine inches from the end. Photos are attached here (the first two are of the Universal saber, and the others are of the two Cold Steel ones), but many more are available by request.

I'm asking $175 shipped in the U.S. for each one. If you're in the Boston area and want to pick one up in person, I can give a small discount. If you're outside the U.S., we can discuss shipping costs, but you'll probably find examples for less, once shipping is taken into account, closer to home. Sorry, no trades.

Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Best,

Mark Millman

Please note that the purchaser has requested the steel scabbard rather than the leather-and-wood one, so the clumsily peened Cold Steel saber now comes with the leather-and-wood scabbard. The well peened Cold Steel saber is sold, as is the steel Cold Steel scabbard. The Universal saber remains available in its original state.

Complicated, eh?
