Offering this pretty nice gem of a sword for sale.
The 1822 ''Bancal'' sword was issued to all cuirassiers, dragoon and lancers regiments and were later replaced by the 1854 model.
The hilt and blade are both stamped with W for S. Wiedman (1830-1836) and B for F.A. Bisch (1829-1845) + no 17 on circle located in the branch. The back is marked Manufure Rale de Chatellerault Aout 1833.
Excellent condition: clean and shiny blade, wire grip intact, rare red felt washer present; nothing loose or broken.
Brownished iron scabbard with 2 rings in good condition, some crust att he drag but nothing bumped or pierced.
Scarce model and in near perfect condition!
