Hi all,
Putting this rather unique piece for sale to shift funds towards a belt grinder.
This is an exact replica in bronze of the Battle of Abbey sword hilt, made by Leo Todeschini.
As he was recreating the piece for the National Museums Collection Centre in Edinburgh, Tod made two casts.
If one turned out problematic, there would be a backup. Both turned out beautifully, and the second ended up in my collection.
Tod has documented the recreation process below:

I'm in owe with his piece. It's a splendid hilt, beautifully executed.
Tod's carving is exquisite, the level of details and accuracy of this repro is astounding. Everything fits together nicely.
It will need an imposing blade as the full hilt weights close to 1 kg (probably something along the lines of the Albion Agincourt), but the result will be something to behold no doubt.
Asking for 600$ + shipping (will ship to USA fully insured - 25£)
