Selling a very rare French heavy cavalry Carabiniers trooper sword model 1854
Good condition: there is nothing loose or broken however it is missing the wire grip which has been cut off and the quillon has been twisted. For the rest it is in very good shape.
The 1m long blade is marked with the usual Mture Impaple de Chattelereault Mai 1864 caraber Mle 1854 on the back and has inspection stamps on the ricasso and the knuckle bar which is numbered with the same no as the scabbard. The drag also has a stamp.
