I bought this helm from Ebay. This is NOT the helm I was SUPPOSED to get...it's better. The helm I was supposed to get was 18 ga., brass-riveted, and weigh about 7lbs. THIS helm is steel-riveted, weighs in at over 10lbs, and I believe it is either 16 or 14 ga. steel. When I received it, the polish was hit-n-miss, so I have given the whole thing a scrub-down with mild abrasive pads, steel wool and WD-40. It looks 100% better now, in my opinion. The visor locks up or down, no dents. The circumference was stated as being 26-3/4''...my head is 23-1/2'', and there is room to spare for a cap and mail coif. This is the exact helm that Kult of Athena sells for $165.00. I am asking $70.00 plus whatever the cost of shipping. That is what I paid for it, and I do not stand to make a dime. The helm that KoA sells is a Lord of Battles brand. I am NOT selling this as a LoB's helm, but I believe it is from the same manufacturer. I have trouble loading photos, but you can see the helm at KoA in the 'medieval helmets' section...same helm. PM me if interested, or mail me at---
pjoymoore@gmail.com . I will get a shipping quote and add that to the price, but I figure it will be around $20.00--more or less. The ONLY reason I'm selling this is it's just too heavy for me. I MIGHT consider a trade for something neat. (CONUS only) Thanks for looking! .........McM

I will not SWEAR that this helm is 14 ga. steel. I do not have a meter. But, compared to my other 18 ga. helms, it is quite thick. This really is an impressive helm to add to your collection, whether you plan to wear it or just display. Other than being heavy, it is very comfortable. $70.00 + shipping gets it! They still have these on Ebay, but you are guaranteed to get the real deal--with a nice, even finish all over....not sloppy, second-rate polish like I received. I will leave this ad active until it is sold, or this time next week. After that, I'll keep it. Use it as a flower planter or something. ......McM
