I have for sale one sub-hilt modern-design knife by John Schulps. John is a knifemaker working out of California who's been doing this for decades. He generally makes fighting knifes of the modern or fantasy type of design.
This one is made from 3/8" thick stock (!!) and is deeply hollow-ground. The scales are made of linen micarta, brown and black in color, with red-brown liners and brass pins. The grip is a sub-hilt variety with an extremely ergonomic feel to it that seems to fit anyone who holds it. It was made and signed in '92.

All in all, this ia an excellent knife if the design is your sort of thing. He has similar patterns, but doesn't seem to repeat work. Every piece is a one-off and new ones of this type and size are in the $350-$600 range. This was purchased in '92 for $350. The knife is in very good shape, but the sheath has marks on it from sitting in storage.
