Another piece from my collection that I’m putting on the block; my Arms & Armor GBS + Scabbard. The GBS is a classic collector’s piece and the quintessential flagship item for any collection. It is a style common to the first few decades of 16th century renaissance Germany and would be well suited in the hands of a Landsknecht reenactor.
If you’ve never handled the GBS, it’s really less of a bastard (hand-and-a-half) sword and more of a true two-hander. In short, it’s a beast… easily the largest and most powerful weapon in my collection. Despite its size, however, it moves very gracefully and is easily controlled in two hands. The sword has been regularly serviced with scratches removed and oil applied. It has seen action against pool noodles and pumpkins and is a superb heavy weapon for post-Halloween slaughter.

The scabbard is a simple campaign scabbard made of heavy high-grade leather in black. Like the sword, the scabbard shows a bit of wear from handling but is in excellent condition overall. In fact, I like the scabbard much more now than when I first got it as it has been properly ‘broken in’.
