Offering for sale a Rick Barrett custom sword.
Rick made this sword a few years back. Under some general guidelines, he had ability for open interpretation.
Pictures attached of the outcome.
(I understand Rick has suspended forging long swords.)
This sword would resemble a exotic katana or a sword a "Dark Elf Lord" would carry.
The blade is 30.5 inches long from acute point to the collar/habaki.
The Damascus Pattern of the blade is dark - resembles a kris-type blade in look.
The handle is like a samurai with black leather lace wrap etc.
All fitting on the sword are patterned-forged. Same for the fitting on the exotic wood scabbard.

There have been a number of looks on this Barrett Piece. . I will lower price once more to further interest collectors looking for a unique piece by a well known and respected modern smith - again I have heard he has suspended forging long swords. Blade and all fittings on this piece forged by Barrett.
