This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available

Last year, before I had some health problems, I ordered a complete suit of armor from Mercenary Tailor and associated soft kit to go with it. Since that time I've lost almost 50 lbs, I continue to lose weight, and everything wants to hang on me now. My interests have also changed pretty radically, so I've decided to try selling this kit.

1x Breast and Back with Faulds and Tassets
1x Gussets
1x 15c Gorget
1x 15c Legs
1x Plate Greaves
1x 15c Arms w/ Integral Spaulders
1x Demi Gauntlets

Note I: There is no helm with this suit. I do have an ARMA Bohemia Sallet but it would really rock this price up if thrown into the mix. Also note that everything has been worn twice, inside, for less than 60 minutes total to validate fit (or as the case is, me shrinking too much)

In all, this goes for $1488 + shipping when purchase new, but I'm asking $1500 and I'll cover the shipping (which is going to be significant).

To sweeten the deal I will include a Historic Enterprises 15c Arming Doublet (green linen XXL) normally worth $305 by itself. I will include 12x chapes worth $12 and 12x points worth $25. So that is $342 in critically neccessary soft kit that is required to use the armor effectively, all included for nothing, if you buy the armor so that all you need to do is get some hose and some footwear and you're ready to go.

For reference here are the measures I sent Allan (which are sooo very no longer valid for me since my waist is ~36 now):

torso:
1) chest circumference - 46
2) bottom of ribcage circumference - 42
3) waist circumference - 41
4) gut if bigger than 1,2 or 3 - n/a
5) distance from the pit of the neck ( that little hollow right at the base of the neck ) to the belly button - 16
6) distance from nipple to nipple - 10 1/2

arms:
1) wrist circumference - 8 1/4
2) forarm circumference - 12 1/2
3) biscept circumference' - 13 3/4
4) distance from wrist to elbow inside of arm - 12
5) distance from wrist to pit of elbow inside of arm, arm bent - 9
6) distance from the tip/ball of the shoulder to the elbow outside of arm - 15

legs :
1) circumfernece of ankle ( just abot the ankle bones ) - 11 1/2
2) circumference of calf right at the thick bit - 16 1/2
3) circumference of knee - 16
4) circumference of thigh right at the thick bit where it joins the pelvis - 25
5) distance from ankle to that little knob of bone just below the knee - 13 3/4
6) distance from the ankel to the pit of the knee - 16 1/2
7) distance from the knee cap the the point where the thigh joins the pelvis ( right where it bends ) - 16 3/4

If you're ~6'1" and less than 190 lbs this stuff will probably fit large, at least it does for me now (it will go on fine, its just looser than it should be with everything adjusted to maximum tightness). When I sent measures I was probably 6'1" and ~235 lbs by way of reference (versus same height and 190-ish now).

My guess is that this stuff will work fine if you have a medium build between 215 and 235 and are within ~3" of 6" (being conservative).

Note II: I'm not interested in parting the soft kit out right now. I'd like it to all go to a new home where somebody an actually use all of it from the get go.

Note III: I will post photos in the next few days.

And if I am in Europe (Romania to be exact), how much exactly will the shipping cost? This offer is quite...tempting.

I'll have to at least go into the post office and check with them. Online tools for USPS and UPS are quoting me rates of $800+ dollars to get this stuff to Romania, which would obviously be cost prohibitive.

I've had some questions about selling bits and parts instead of doing the whole kit. I'd really prefer to do the whole lot at once, partly because it makes the shipping cleaner, and partly because I don't havethe risk of getting stuck with something that way. However, I'll consider parting the kit out at the following prices:

Historic Enterprises XXL Green Linen Arming Doublet w/ Chapes & Arming Points: $272
Mercenary Tailor Breast and Back with Faulds & Tassets & Gussets: $342
Mercenary Tailor 15c Gorget: $169
Mercenary Tailor Upper 15c Legs and Greaves: $279
Mercenary Tailor 15c Arms w/ Integral Spaulders: $221
Mercenary Tailor Demi Gauntlets: $179

And I will still cover the shipping CONUS.

Please note that the arming garmet has been worn three times, inside in air conditioning only. Once to test its fit, once to retest its fit and try it with leg and body defence, once to try it with the full suit. To say thie garmet is very lightly used is an exceptional understatement. The armor has all been on me twice, both times inside. The only time any of this stuff has been outdoors is for the hpotos. EVERYTHING IS IN AS NEW CONDITION (which is to say everythig is in excellent condition).

I would have happily acquired this beautiful harness but upon closer revision, I have discovered that I am not quite in the height and weight category I would have to be for this to fit me well.

This is besides the fact that I am located in the farthest reaches of Europe where shipping costs more than half of the price of the armour itself. :P

I now have offers on parts of the set so the clock is ticking on being able to get everything in one shot.

BTW on the trade front, if you happen to have a SRAM Rival or SRAM Force 10 Speed Road Group from 2009 or 2010 just sitting around in new or in very lightly used condition.....
