I am selling a 18th century officers hanger, but without the scabbard pictured. It is all steel hilt with the inboard langlet removed by the original owner. Grip is wood with wire wrap. There is a faint British Crown and lance and banner engraving on the blade which is most likely made in Birmingham. It is a very light and fast weapon. In appearance it reminds one of a miniture version of a 1796 LC sabre. It would make a great civilian/hunting/boarding sword. The blade is 28 inches and the steel hilt 5 inches. I am asking $300 plus $20 for s/h Conus.
