A unique dagger with a sheath - a remark Europe 13 centuries(eyelids)
Product is attempt of reconstruction and is executed on an applied portrayal. Exists in the single copy.
Features: an carbon steel of own fusion. The forged profile of an edge with the subsequent polishing. High hardness of training, an order of 55-58 units. It is black through, secret fixing in through washers. All details of furnish - silver of 925 tests (a lump of 126 gramme). The handle is made(produced) of a nut file (the tree was 78 summer, in 1,5 a grasp!) Also it is impregnated by the fused beeswax. For handle assemblage bone glue is used. A sheath is made(produced) of a pigskin of house manufacture by the painted bark of an oak. Consist of two layers put one in another. Manual seams, impregnation by wax and a frame from silver. The item is an attempt to reconstruct a 13-14 century European dagger from the illustration (attached
as one of the photos). This is not mass-produced item and was created as an artist project.

Summary:
Can be sharpened if requested.
High carbon steel with 1% chromium, 1% silicon and 0.6% carbon
Mirror polished, hand forged blade
Full tang. Tang was made a little longer than a wooden handle, then a washer
was put at the end of the tang, and tang end was flattened like a rivet
and covered with a pommel piece.
All the fittings are made from sterling silver (92.5%) silver.
Total weight of silver parts is 126 gram (4.4445 ounces).
The handle is made from a single block of 78-year-old walnut tree.
Multiple layers of hot bees wax were authentically applied to seal the wood.
Only natural, bone-based glue was used.
Scabbard is made from a hand-tanned pigskin painted by natural oak bark paint. The scabbard consists of
two “socks” one inside the other with a single stitching. The leather have been treated with hot bees wax
and decorated with sterling silver fittings.
