Up for sale is an antique American Ketland-style Eagle head saber dating from c. 1805-1820. Everything is original. No breaks, welds, repairs of any kind to guard. Original dark wood grip, with fluted carving. Blade is in good shape, with no obvious dings, cuts, etc. Note, the period leather scabbard has shrunk somewhat, and does not cover all of blade, i.e. it’s a little short, and the brass fitting near the top of the scabbard is loose. Overall, though, excellent condition as shown.
Stats: blade is 28” tip to hilt in a straight line, handle about 5 ¼” long.
PM me with questions or for more detailed pics.
Asking $650 OBO.
Cash plus trades are fine. I would be particularly amenable to an even-up trade for an ATRIM 1592 with fuller; an Albion Jarl; or an American-made Japanese-style tanto bareblade by a recognized smith.
Paypal works for me, and I will NOT charge 3%, MO just as good.
First firm offer at my ask takes it.
Thanks for looking.
