I am trying to raise money to update the audio-visual equipment I use in my classroom. I need to sell several of my swords to do this. I am offering a Del Tin 5173 Schiavona.

Overall Length: 39 inches
Blade Length: 33 inches
Blade Width: 1.7 inches
Center of Gravity: 5 inches from guard
Basket Width 4.5 inches

Unsharpened and no scabbard

Hello,

Could you tell me if you have blued the guard, basket or pommel. They look darkened to me somewhat. (nice looking).
Also is the grip a re-wrap or original? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Terry...

I have not done any refurbishing of this sword (though I had plans at one time). The grip is original and is really well done for a Del Tin sword. The reason the basket looks darker is because Del Tin uses a form of steel that darkens to a medium gray color with age. I like the look myself because it gives a little contrast to the blade.
