Early 16th Century Scotland
Double-edged blade made of L6 steel without fullers; steel fittings; elongated pommel; downward sloping quillons ending in quatrefoil cutouts; hardwood handle; langets extending down blade.
Overall length: 51.25"
Weight: 4.7 pounds
Width of guard: 12"
Blade: 37" long; 1.625" wide tapering to 1.25"
Langets: 4" long
Grip and pommel: 13"
Point of Balance (PoB): 6.5" from guard
Center of Percussion (CoP): ~25" from guard
Has a hardwood scabbard with steel fittings.
This piece is a discontinued model, circa 1995. It is made of a tough L6 steel and has a nice wooden scabbard.
