I'd like to publically thank Eric for a very smooth transaction and an excellent sword!
It arrived today, exactly as scheduled, and was everything you said it was (and more). I've come to expect excellent work from all of the folks at albion, but it was clear that Eric made a special effort on this one. Not because of its lack of imperfections, but because of the imperfections themselves! Eric had antiqued the hilt, and I am very impressed by the results. The blade itself appears to be standard Albion fare, which is to say: excellently crafted. The hilt, however, is superbly antiqued. There is an excellent patina, consisting of more deeply aged areas in the crevices and internal curves, and wear or polish where you would expect rubbing from use. There is even a spot on the pommel where it looks like pitting from a period of relative neglect, but is now shiny, as if from regular use. Exactly what you would expect if this were an old piece. There are numerous little dings and irregularities on the pommel and guard, as if from heavy use over the years. I'm very impressed with how Eric was able to create a very convincing impression of age to such a new object!
Thanks again!
