I'm cleaning out closets. I thought I knew how many 14th Century pigface bascinets I had but I was wrong. I have an extra one. As the picture shows it has brass details & a dagged-edge aventail. It has the usual "Woody Woodpecker" pointed face shield. I wish I could remember who made it but I can't - I see no makers marks anywhere on it. It has languished in a cedar closet for 12 or more years. It's heavy enough for serious combat wear but I bought it purely for display.
