Offering an attractive French model 1872-84 smallsword or epee for an engineer officer.
Very good condition but the folding mechanism is lacking a part in the inner shell part.
There is the maker's logo stamped on the hilt for M. Benoist, Fontainebleau. Pretty long double-fuller blade with some spots.
Aside for the missing button, there is nothing loose.
