Selling a Prussian uhlan sabre M1873.
This model was issued to uhlan (lancer) regiments after the Franco-Prussian War of 1871 with captured (and shortened) French LC 1822 blades.
Overall fair condition, the leather on handle has lost a small piece and the throat scabbard screw is missing. Black spots on hilt and scabbard but blade in very good shape.
Many regimental markings barred until last service with 4.RAF.2.61 (4 Reserve Foot Artillery Regt, battery no 2, weapon no 61). The blade is stamped with inspector mark + date on the side and on the back over the French script Mfture de Klingenthal 7bre 1829 S.A. (Soie Acier = iron tang).
