This is a vintage ATrim 1513 arming sword in a custom DBK scabbard.
The sword is approximately 30 ¼” blade, 38” overall. The grip is walnut. Pommel is Gus’s acorn shape, with a removable nut. This piece could be left as-is, or is ripe for customising with another pommel for more historical accuracy and a real upgrade to the overall paired aesthetic with the scabbard. I purchased this blade from the original owner; it has not been cut with.
The scabbard is one of Brian’s works of functional art. The seam is hand-stitched, as is the edge of the rain guard.
Scabbard is dark chocolate, with tan belt. The belt is Brian’s beautiful, soft leather that is a joy to wear.
The suspension has been set up for a left-handed cross draw. For right handers, I guess you’ve got three options: keep this on the right hip to be paired with a longsword on the left, use a right-handed cavalry (same side) draw if you’re arm is long enough, or reconfigure the belt for right-handed use.
This piece is located in New Zealand, and will ship at cost with full insurance.
Price is US$1050 for sword, scabbard, and suspension complete.
