This brass handed Viking sword is in outstanding condition and almost looks like it came out of the box for the first time. Sold in the 1990’s by Museum Replicas, this sword has never been used. I would guess if sold today, this attractive Viking would easily retail around $300.
The sword is 37.25” long with a 30 15/16” blade. The blade is 1 15/16” wide at the hilt and has very little taper. A wide fuller runs nearly the entire length of the blade. CoG is 5.2” and the sword weighs 51.4 oz. (3.2 lbs.). Unlike many swords made by Windlass, the flats of the blade exhibits very little waviness when viewed at a shallow angle. They actually did a very fine job designing and constructing this one, the beautiful guard, grip and pommel being no exception. (see the last 3 pictures)
The sword is priced to sell at $150. Price includes priority mail shipping to the 48 states and PayPal fees.
