i'm interested in the evolution of the british navy cutlass, starting from the napoleonic wars until, modern times.
do you know where i can find photos and stats of the various patterns?
Michael Niero has an extensive collection of naval cutlasses. As to specific specifications, that may be hard to gather. An exceleent resource is Gilkerson's "boarder's Away" Ordering through the book section here credits this site.

excellent website, i have seen that many has blades ranging from 29 to 28 inches and i can figured out the width
i have planned to have a training version of the 1845-1889 pattern or may be the 1901 pattern
